Story
The Story of Prescion takes places on a world not too different from Earth,
only somewhat in the future. Many smaller nations have banned together or been
annexed by growing empires of ideology, and now the larger nations vie for
control. The largest and most powerful of these nations are Runaria, and
Agregorn. It is in Runaria, that the story begins, centered around a main
character of the player's choosing, and a handful of other agents within the
elite Runarian Special Forces.

Religions and Beliefs
Atos Followers of Atos believe that a kind god came to Earth, and
breathed life into the pathetic creatures that lived. He created the sky and
made it blue, and made the oceans reflect its color. He made the wind blow and
allowed seeds to spread, thus moving the trees over the world and giving food
and shelter to the suffering animals. He loved man the most, and gave unto them
strength and wisdom, so that they may rule over the Earth, and spread his love
and good will unto others. Many within this faith believe that those that are
downcast and look to the Earth or Earthly pleasures are evil, and should be cut
away from the glory of Atos (killed). Most, however, believe that love and peace
is a gift enough, and that by being champions of this cause, humans will learn
and grow as God intended. Denrar is a zealot of Atos
Dormin Those that believe in the legend of Dormin believe in the
messiah of Atos, who loved and followed his true father. In childhood he was
hunted and persecuted by his adopted family, and ascended to challenge the state
that sought to hurt. He continued to grow in power, but always for the power of
right, never corrupted or tempted by the wills of kings or even the Gods. At
the end of the last age, Dormin sacrificed himself when evil deities came to
destroy the world, so that all may be spared. It is believed that he never did
die at the hands of the evil Gods, but will rise one day with his magical sword,
and right the wrongs of the world. His magical sword, Awakening, is the symbol
of the holy Order of the Blade. Joaness is a raised and devout follower of this
church.
Eon Many people in Zagostan believe that Ancient Gods were dragons
and lived on Earth before humans rose to power. These ancient Gods sometimes
assumed human form to enter into the early societies of man, and occasionally
educate and take a follower. After the great conflict that ended the previous
age, the Gods left. The remaining children of the Gods, the great Urdar beasts,
still live and roam free. The only remaining city of the Gods is Eon, which to
this day stands isolated by tradition and certain death to anyone foolhardy
enough to venture. It is also believed that some of the Gods stayed behind to
guard the city, in case an army of foolhardy adventurers tried to trespass on
their sacred city. All those who would dare enter the sacred city would be
destroyed in a fate worse than death, as the wraith of the Gods is severe
indeed. It is also believed that one day the Gods will return, and claim Eon as
their own, and exact a proper rule over the tyrants that rule the Earth
presently. In this time to come, man will be at peace and will live forever in
harmony with the Gods.
The Fallen Star One of the few world-spread beliefs is in the fallen
star. It is believed life on Earth began with a star falling from the sky and
striking the flat void of the earth. In the explosive wake, life began and
flourished everywhere, with mountains, oceans, and all matter of being brought
in by the explosion. Similarly, another explosion will one day come, and take
back what has been brought, returning Earth to the dark and lifeless world it
once was. Though most believe this as a fancy fairy tale, some see the herald
of many signs pointing to the end of days. Followers of this religion tend to
view every day as important, as it may very well be the last normal day before
the second star comes.
Maga Popular in Golganthor, this belief centers around the worship
of a perfect being born into Earth for Earth. This being is not of this world,
but is here to serve his chosen people. As such, the Golganthor Elite have
harnessed this demigod as a source of limitless power and a source of unlimited
destruction. Because of this, Golganthor uses their faith as a tool for
conquest, holding the world hostage. This has been met with limited success, as
many of those that believe in Maga's power also fear it, knowing that they could
destroy the world and themselves with it.
Noke Followers of Noke believe in a perfect race of non-humans
destined to rule. Those that are human and follow Noke wish to become the
non-human and offer sacrifice to their dark god. As such, they believe in the
destruction of all governments and return of their undead deity, Noke. They are
fond believers in the occult and chaos, as they believe destruction will bring
them eternal life. Followers of this belief are mostly restricted to the
Gauntlet of Fire, though some exist outside of the organization as well.
Ormus Followers of Ormus believe in one true God, who despises the
meaningless life of Earth and seeks to move away from his disappointing
creations. The devout see a future in space and would live away from many of
the more baser physical pleasures of life towards a perfect life with the
creator. Followers hope that by abandoning their animalistic mendacity, they
will attain happiness, freedom, and unlimited knowledge with their God. Many of
the more scientific communities around Earth have churches of Ormus, with the
vast majority of followers living in Agregorn. However, this religion is not
widely believed by any nation.
