Story
The Story of Prescion takes places on a world not too different from Earth,
only somewhat in the future. Many smaller nations have banned together or been
annexed by growing empires of ideology, and now the larger nations vie for
control. The largest and most powerful of these nations are Runaria, and
Agregorn. It is in Runaria, that the story begins, centered around a main
character of the player's choosing, and a handful of other agents within the
elite Runarian Special Forces.

Nations
Agregorn
Located in the northwestern hemisphere, Agregorn is a nation founded by
unification under freedom from tyranny. Agregorn is a democratic state, that
found that the inefficiency of federalized government hindered its progress as a
nation. As such, the nation established a privatized government. Rather than pay
taxes for police, education, roads, waste disposal, or other services... a
company would handle it for a fee. This, spurred by competition, yielded a very
efficient form of government that rose in technological and economical power
rapidly. However, due to the loss of altruistic ideals in government, the
leadership of the nation became "He who controls the wealthiest corporations
controls the law," and is now a nation heavily beset by classism. Those that are
not among the elite are kept in check with propaganda geared towards company
trust and hatred of the rival superpower, Runaria.
Physically, the nation of Agregorn is very large, and encompass all major
climates, from tundra to plains. It is noted by its environmental bounty, clean
cities, and numerous monuments. However, the entire nation has been urbanized
or at least suburbanized, so traces of humanity can be found in every square
foot of Runarian soil.
Golganthor
Located in the Southwestern Hemisphere, Golganthor is the oldest of nations,
founded by pirates and merchants who banned together to create a nation ruled by
cartels. Golganthor is the only nation in the world whos workforce and military
is comprised of slaves. As such, they are viewed unfavorably by all nations
(especially Zagostan, given that most of the slaves are Zagostan descendant).
Their leadership is dictated by a royal family of merchants, who trade control
from various merchant houses (the most powerful being the one that rules
Golganthor). Corruption is rampant in Golganthor.
Physically, Golganthor was not much different from Agregorn originally. The
nation has fewer mountains, and many natural lakes and bountiful valleys.
However, pollution has turned the majority of Golganthor into a wasteland
wilderness, and many parts are potentially fatal if explored unprotected.
Runaria
Once a global empire, Runaria is now a social republic based on the belief
that peace and hard work make a nation. They pride themselves on their
individuality, so long as individuality never places one ahead of the state.
Classism is almost non-existent, but corruption is far more present than in
Agregorn. As a result, the nation's economy is slowly weakening and lagging
them behind the other nations. Many factions run rampant and unchecked within
Runaria, despite the strong federal police force and RSF.
Physically, Runaria is the largest nation in the world, with nearly the
entire eastern hemisphere under its control. The majority of the land is
plains, with many tall mountains around the edges. The central portion of the
continent is mostly uncharted wilderness, with harsh landscapes and various
farms throughout. The population is concentrated on the far east and
southwestern borders, where the major cities lay.
Zagostan
Zagostan is the youngest nation, with the oldest culture. Bordering the
Western edge of Runaria, Zagostan is governed by a fundamentalist regime ruled
by a council of elders. Zagostan has been the victim of many proxy wars fought
between Runaria and Agregorn, and as a result is not very trusting to either.
However, Zagostan has publicly declared itself an ally of Runaria, despite less
amicable relations on a sociological and cultural level. Within Zagostan are
several religious factions that often branch out into terrorism. Because of the
constant strife and lack of control, Zagostan is on the verge of becoming an
Anarchy. Towns are mostly self-governed, with loyalty to other towns only due to
ethnic and religious similarities. Technologically, Zagostan is little more
than bronze-age.
Physically, Zagostan is a poor land, with limited natural resources. Much of the nation is desert and sharp mountains, with flood plains and some wealthy oil and ore mines.
